someone drove their new Mustang into Duck Pond last night. no drugs or alcohol were involved. just one idiot behind the wheel. just one idiot who almost killed three of his friends and has cost his family a lot of stress and money.
at the expense of looking “cool,” is it worth it?
His family will just buy him a new one. They’re, like, rich. And he can just, like, buy more friends from a new frat. I, like, don’t see the problem.
Climate scientists slam the WSJ in this long rebuttal to a trashy editorial on climate denial. The first half of the piece are dozens of signatures, so you’l have to scroll scroll scroll to get to the red meat. But it’s well worth your time. A sampling:
(i) The planet is warming due to increased concentrations of heat-trapping gases in our atmosphere. A snowy winter in Washington does not alter this fact.
(ii) Most of the increase in the concentration of these gases over the last century is due to human activities, especially the burning of fossil fuels and deforestation.
(iii) Natural causes always play a role in changing Earth’s climate, but are now being overwhelmed by human-induced changes.
(iv) Warming the planet will cause many other climatic patterns to change at speeds unprecedented in modern times, including increasing rates of sea-level rise and alterations in the hydrologic cycle. Rising concentrations of carbon dioxide are making the oceans more acidic.
(v) The combination of these complex climate changes threatens coastal communities and cities, our food and water supplies, marine and freshwater ecosystems, forests, high mountain environments, and far more.
Starting today, we give ourselves the ability to reactively withhold content from users in a specific country — while keeping it available in the rest of the world. We have also built in a way to communicate transparently to users when content is withheld, and why.
We haven’t yet used this ability, but if and when we are required to withhold a Tweet in a specific country, we will attempt to let the user know, and we will clearly mark when the content has been withheld.
Apparently my girlfriend isn’t “curvy” because she doesn’t have D breasts and maintains a healthy weight. However, she’s over 110 pounds, works out with me often, and also eats extremely healthy. Apparently this makes a lot of people on tumblr mad.
News: Check your bmi because you’re probably not curvy, you’re probably just fat.
As in you’re stuffing your fat face with shit that is made from chemicals.
Stop insulting my girlfriend and put down the cheese stick.
And yeah, you can be “Whoever you want”, you can eat all the food for all I care. But this doesn’t mean you’ll be healthy. Learn 2 be a people so u can not die.

“The targeting of journalists covering the Occupy Wall Street movement has caused the United States to drop precipitously in a leading survey of press freedom.
Reporters Without Borders’ latest Press Freedom Index was released on Wednesday, and the list reflected some of the tumult that took place in the world in 2011, as well as the impact that those events had on journalists across the globe. Reporters became targets over and over again throughout the year, both in the Middle East and on the streets of New York.”
